Storytelling with mood
My best ideas come from tensions. Tension between people and places, clashing incongruence. A sloppy burger in a Michelin Star restaurant. Butter rubbed onto the face like skincare. I like conceptual, jarring imagery and moods. They captivate me, make me stop in my tracks. Arresting is the word.
With this mini AI project, I designed the ultimate whimsical fantasy — ancient ruins on an arid hilltop under the pale light of a distant moon, draped in hyperfeminine pink fabrics — and paired it with ai-generated audio.
The instructions for the audio were simple: ghostly, ethereal female chanting. There’s something suspicious and unsettling in the contrast of old and new (ancient ruins and modern pink fabric) and the seemingly peaceful scenery paired with haunting sounds.
Nothing is as it seems.
